I just also stumbled upon a VC2.5 build 174768, any idea what would that correspond to? Some ressources on the web like [1] point out U5, but the U5 release notes [2] second your build number (174791).

@Antonio thats correct, the update loaded is VMware ESXi, Patch ESXe350-200908402-T-BG: Updates VMware Tools

Makes ESXi go to build number 184236

It is a critical patch. Hope this helps out.

So if I found an host with ESX 3i 3.5.0, build 184236 I suppose this is an “Update 4″ release with some patches added? it’s right?
