		<description>I think it boils down to the comparison between Citrix XenApp and Microsoft Terminal Services. The former product is superior, but has a price. Hyper-V R2 is a valid solution for certain environments. I still think Microsoft has some work to do however to get people to move from VMware.

I don&#039;t like the requirement of having AD and clustering to get the functionality you need. Also both storage and networking (teaming!) need some improvement.

People mention SRM, Storage VMotion already and I agree that VMware has an impressive set of additional products (for a price again).

Finally there&#039;s a bit of philosophy involved. VMware makes it possible to have a completely separate virtualization platform. Microsoft however integrates the virtualization layer with the regular environment. There&#039;s no good or bad here, but it&#039;s a very personal preference.</description>
