WAN optimization for VMware View 4.0 PCoIP

Although PCoIP is very efficient display protocol also over WAN connection. (See video demonstration on Vimeo ) there was still the leak of a good WAN optimization solution for VMware View 4.0.

We all know that the user experience will heavily benefit if we can control the WAN traffic. As we know the PCoIP uses both TCP and UDP transport protocols. All of the WAN optimization solutions support TCP. But UDP is not broadly supported with the WAN optimization solutions.

Video perfomance using PCoIP over the WAN is alot worse than RDP for me wich I dont understand.
Latency is 25ms w/ 6mb download at the remote location where my HP T5545 is at. Main Office where the Windows XP VM and VMware View server location is> speeds> 30MB down+ 9MB up.

PCoIP is certainly a great display protocol. However in some scenarios of slow remote connections (like over certain WANs) there may be issues where PCoIP doesn't function quite as well. In those cases, you can complement the VMware View deployment with Ericom Blaze, a software-based RDP acceleration and compression product that provides improved performance over WANs.
