About
The phrase ‘I choose life‘ comes from the movie Ice Age and it’s getting a running gag within our team.
Manfred: Sid, the tiger found a short cut.
Sid: No thanks. I choose life.
Diego: Then I suggest you take the short cut.

Introductions
My name is Erik Scholten and I’m the founder of VMGuru.nl. I work as a Technical Consultant and Solution Architect for Centric Managed ICT Services creating the most ingenious virtual infrastructures. I have over 14 years experience as a system engineer and consultant and have worked a variety of technologies including Windows, Exchange, SAN (fiber/iSCSI), networking, and of course virtualization. My current job includes selling, presenting, designing, building and developing virtual infrastructures for some major companies in the Netherlands. In 2009 and 2010 VMware awarded me the vExpert award for my virtualization community efforts. In my spare time I like to ride my motorcycle.

In real live MeAgain is Anne Jan Elsinga. I’m a Technical Consultant and Solution Architect for Centric Managed ICT Services in the Netherlands. I spend my working hours with a lot of virtualization stuff, from feasibility to implementation for server virtualization/consolidation and desktop virtualization. I’m also a 2009 and 2010 vExpert. In the night time I dance latin, ballroom and salsa and I recently discovered the pleasure of diving.

Froos is froos.. as said.. let’s keep it that way. Apart from being a colleague of the two fine gentlemen mentioned above, I currently provide hosting services for this site/blog. I will spare you the nightmares of seeing my photograph. In everyday life I usually do a lot of general IT infrastructure and messaging and collaboration is my main area of expertise. I’m a virtualization enthusiast/newbie/probie but not a lot more than that. So apart from some silly comments, you probably won’t see a lot of content from my hand. I do hope, however, that you all enjoy this site because that’s the reason we started this in the first place.

My name is Sander Martijn on the blog also known as Grissa. Like the other gentlemen I’m also working for Centric Managed ICT services but as a System specialist. Meagain and Tazz are the ones that made me the VMware enthusiast I’m today. Although rather new to the whole visualization I try to give my 2 cents where I can. After working hours I like to read books, play video games, watch a movie or play some badminton.
